protocol architecture & future Berlin

Was researching for my newly-joined-uni project, on the topic of  "Underground Cultures" when I stumbled upon this super cool project by architecture students in Berlin. Apparently it was for a competition, and I honestly don't quite understand a single word on architecture, and the brief was to "address the Germany and Western Europe’s rapidly declining population in 2050.  We devised a radical plan for Berlin which would harness the massive geological power of earthquakes to selectively destroy sections of the old city while creating the potential  for new spaces underground."

Anyhow, they developed this super cool concept, based on 3 fictional documents they created and set in 3 different contexts, and these documents are the coolest part of the whole project. It's like, who would have ever thought to present R&D in a fictional manner and create these top-secret-looking documents on their own (and not based on facts and Internet research and surveys and etc.). You just have to really click the links and check them out (and see more pictures), it's awesome!
