So I finally cleared my bookshelf. I still have too many books I need to read.
So I got a job. I borrowed books to help me do my job better.
So I still don't have time to read the many books on my bookshelves that I need to read.

Ugh.
Also: The problem of being a jack of all trades is, everything is a half-finished project, you never complete a project, and you never master none.

on being an introvert

So there's been a lot of "10 Signs You're an Introvert" yada yada lately. I read a few the first time they came out because I know I'm an introvert, but now it's getting a bit tiring. But today, out of procrastination and a little curiosity, I went to read "15 Signs You Are An Introvert and are Secretly Obsessed With It." The "Secretly Obsessed With It" part caught my eye, I thought the article was gonna berate introverts for being so high-and-mighty about being introverts (what with all these lists going around nowadays).  But noooo, turns out to be another introverts list but this one was SO RELEVANT AND SPOT-ON. So relevant I had to express it somewhere, which is why I'm blogging about it. Because Facebooking it is just too attention-seeking.  Granted, I didn't agree with everything, but the ones I did... were SO SO SO relevant it's like the writer read my mind:

#1 - "Walking is probably our favorite activity because it allows us to think without being interrupted, allows us to observe others and the world around us without being questioned, and gives us some exercise. What could be better?" (YESSSS and other people always thought I was odd for liking to walk -  an otherwise mundane and tiring activity)

The Kookie Kamera by Ideal Toy in 1968 must be the coolest thing I've seen for some time. It's a toy that lets you take a photo, develop and decorate.

Seriously, how cool is this. It's not just a toy, it actually works (worked?)! Check out the bug-as-shutter; the camera instructions actually say "Squash shutter bug." Hahaha it's so punny I want one. And the viewfinder is called the "blood-shot viewer" so when your eye looks blood-shot when seen from the front. And all those hands-as-handles!

I'm such a sucker for country music. Which is really odd for someone who doesn't live in the country, didn't grow up listening to country, because generally people around me (I think) think that country is as kitschy as... accordions.
But anyway. I love a good country song. I just downloaded (oops) The Band Perry's newest (which was actually from last year, I haven't been keeping tabs) album Pioneer, and it's gooood. And whilst listening to Keith Urban yesterday I came across Highway Don't Care, a Tim McGraw song featuring Taylor Swift and Keith Urban on guitar, which is when I finally understood why Tim McGraw is so big in country. So today I was listening to one of his live concerts, and came across this song called Live Like You Were Dyin'. I wasn't really listening to the lyrics, until the chorus. I know it's supposed to be about cancer and terminal illnesses but because I only started listening at the chorus, it really fueled my wanderlust. I mean, to really do things that make you feel alive.

Well anyway despite my misinterpretation, it's really a beautiful song. So here's a video. (Because Scotty McCreery!)
