biennale. (II)

we went to the biennale again last friday, but this time only four people went: me jmi di and yongjing.
we were supposed to meet at 1200, then di asked if we could meet at 1230, but in the end they were late and we (finally) met at 1.00. -_- typical of her. haha.
so we went to find a coffee shop, which we found at marina square. and by the time we finished, it was 2.00. -_-
anyway, we finally went to city hall after that. city hall is a building beside the supreme court, facing the padang, in case you don't know. the mrt station "city hall" is named so because of that building.
so yes, we bought the entry passes at $3 instead of the normal $5, all thanks to the doorknob hangers. xD
overall it was bloody nice. but i think we missed out a few because they were to scared to go in. haha. yes, some exhibitions were rated with "Parental Guidance", which i guess is why the curators asked if we were above 12. (out of precaution, not because we look like a bunch of 12-year-olds with nothing better to do.)
we went to some though. but it's really pretty scary la, some. for example there's one that's set up like a scientist's lab, except that the jars contain dolls submerged in water, with oxygen pumping into the jars (like fish tanks). quite scary. you know, what with chucky and such.
then there's also a few exhibits where we scared ourselves simply because we didnt expect stuff to be there. uhh yes. haha. but then there's also some very cool ones, like one video installation whereby they made a video based on The Bohemian Rhapsody (which is a song, in case you don't know).
anyway most of it just took our breaths away. so nice. xD

we spent like 2 hours at city hall. the saddest thing was that most of the badges were gone when we went. T_T haha well, we didn't go there for the badges, did we?
after city hall we went to some others that didnt need entry passes, but most already closed. -_- because most of them weren't closed at 6, but earlier. bah.
but we did go to the SMU one la, which is pretty nice too.
so we ended up in bugis again. yes, for some reason, we managed to walk from city hall mrt to bugis mrt. haha. but still. it was fun.
