dogs.

the Siberian Husky is a friendly dog.
really.
most people think it's scary cos it looks like a wolf.
pretty much can't stand people with wrong perceptions of huskies.

somewhere in the BIG, BLUE internet (ok it isnt blue.) says that huskies are: ... dao but unharmful Siberian Husky (ok it is just a damn huge wolf dog la).
right about the unharmful part.
but dao??? please. a long-haired Maltese looks worse. (not that all malteses look dao, of course.)
and huge. it's not HUGE. it's considered medium. in fact, a Golden Retriever is larger than a husky. serious. a Golden Retriever is 22-24 inches tall, while a husky is 21-23 inches tall. just because most people in Singapore do not own larger dogs doesnt mean that you can assume a husky is huge.
somewhere else in the internet, it is said that huskies are friendly and gentle. and they are not aggresive nor fierce. in fact, they make BAD guard dogs. somewhere says that huskies: "...have been known to watch quietly as burglars cart off the family valuables."

ohyes. sorry but i must mention that i have taken a disliking towards Jack Russell Terriers and Schnauzers (more of the mini Schnauzer, since most ppl own minis.) They may look cute, but most of the two breeds that i have met are irritatingly noisy and aggresive.

Mini Schnauzers: somewhere says that they: "barking at the sight or sound of something odd or treading onto his territory." That may be good, but it becomes irritating everytime you walk past your neighbour's house and a gray thing rushes out to bark hysterically at you. Schnauzers are also: "fairly dog-aggressive...will challenge even large dogs".
Jack Russells: "can be aggressive with other dogs if not well trained and socialized. Some have killed or been killed in dog fights." YES. very true. I know of one case where a adult JR attacked and bit a 6-month old husky (which was probably three times bigger than the terrier). and the attack didn't even happen in the JR's territory. wth. also, from the JRs i have met/seen, they are noisy.

BUT of course, not all Schnauzers and Jack Russells are barking, biting, jumping, growling, irritating creatures. if well trained, they can be good. (therefore, train your dog before it gets irritating and starts biting other dogs. ha.) ohya. Huskies do not bark. they are not noisy at all. they only howl seldomly. (yay.)

hm well. this goes to show that one should not judge a book by its cover. or judge a dog by its cuteness and size.
